we'll call it starfire, who will know? / i want a station of my own / i have the tools / i have my rules // i'll load the back and you can drive / broken bodies all the time / let's take a ride / starfire tonight // ten thousand miles away

Alan's Notes:

loosely based on the life of our friend, scott, who is a paramedic and pirate radio station owner. he's done more for the music scene in duluth than anyone. tried the strings on the recording on a whim. la la section at end is popular with children.

Personal Thoughts:

The standard Low sound, now with slight embellishment by way of quiet saxophone! Keeping to their strengths while pushing into the future, and while honoring a pirate radio host too! Can't help but love this.

Live:

Debuted in 1997 and saw a bunch of appearances around the turn of the millenium. Sporadic showings after that.
